# How to rename a file and folder in Google Drive

## Rename a file

There are two ways to rename a file:

1. Renaming in the file: highlight the part you want to change and type

2. Renaming in the folder: go to the folder, right click on the file and choose "Rename."

## Rename a folder

Go to the folder, right click on the folder and choose "Rename."
