# How to use VPN (for Windows and macOS)

You will be able to connect to CSUMB lab computers after downloading and installing GlobalProtect VPN software

## Windows users

### 1. Video guideline

### 2. Download GlobalProtect VPN

[Download Windows 64 bit GlobalProtect agent](https://vpn.csumb.edu/global-protect/getmsi.esp?version=64\&platform=windows)

After the installation, open GlobalProtect VPN and type the following when prompted: [vpn.csumb.edu](https://vpn.csumb.edu/)

### 3. Connect to CSUMB lab computers

You will choose “506-117 (Computing and Design)” under “Computer Labs” at the link below:

After the installation, open GlobalProtect VPN and type the following when prompted: [vpn.csumb.edu](https://vpn.csumb.edu/)

### 3. Connect to CSUMB lab computers

MAC USERS: If GlobalProtect stays on the Connecting screen and does not prompt for your CSUMB username and Password showing "connecting", then, open System Preferences, navigate to Security & Privacy and then General. See the photo below and hit allow (you may need to click the lock at the bottom to unlock)
